Two months to race start

It's been a while since my last update, but with less than two months to departure from Denmark and exactly two monts to race start, I think it's time. It's been a long series of ups and downs regarding my knee. One moment everything seemed fine, the next I felt soreness and pain. Finally, in the beginning of december I got an appointment with a physiotherapist who prescribed heavy, slow leg press in the fitness center to strengthen the tendon that caused the problem. After the first training session I could already feel an improvement. Since then the problem seems to have vanished, only with a couple of setbacks when I got a little too exited at the gym, pushing a sledge for instance. At the last session at the physiotherapist he even said I could start running stairs again, which I haven't done for months, but at the moment I don't feel that the risk is worth it. I have resumed my weekend ridings with one or two sleep over in tent, starting to get a good feeling about what I can expect in Arizona. Two big differences though: it's cold in Denmark, around 0 degrees celcius, and I can only be away from my business and family for a couple of days, not the 10-12 days of riding I expect to cover in Arizona plus the 150 km from Tucson to the starting line, and the ride to civilization after completing the race. See the video I made from a trip one month ago:

My weekly training for the last couple of months, which I intend to continue until departure, consist of 3 days á 2 1/2 to 3 hours at the fitness centre (1 hour spinning, leg press, kettle bell, core and upper body training), and 3-4 training sessions on my mountainbike.

What to bring is a big question, less is more, but I am slowly getting there. The complete list will be published here later. I still need some clothing from my sponsor ATS Nordic (XBionic and sunglasses with optical correction). Looking forward to try those!
